About the Author:
Nancy E Wood was born into a missionary family and lived in Hungary until she turned twenty. Her whole childhood, she loved reading and stories, writing some of her own, but never believing she actually had the talent to be an author. Speaking multiple languages, she never thought she would be good enough in any to become a wordsmith.
After waiting for what seemed forever, I was finally able to sit down and read Alone! It has been a little over a month since this book has been out and even though I got this book delivered to my email, I did not have the time to read it until now. Between all of the books that I have had to review, sports, and school that did not leave me with enough time to read this book. It killed me to wait this long to read it!
Alone picks up right after Perfect finishes. Gina is left to figure out what it means to live in the truth. She feels as though she is alone in the world after finding out that she is adopted. She no longer knows where she fits in the world. While many people may not have gone through this feeling in life everyone will go through it. Being alone is a very true feeling.
The thing I love most about the title of this book is how much they fit with the how Gina is feeling. I love the fact that you can see her struggle in this book. She has no idea how she should act or what to do now that she is able to be who she wants. I feel as though in everyone’s lifetime they have been where Gina is at. We all have felt alone. We have all wondered what is our propose in this world.
I love that about how Wood is able to make a character that not only resembles her story but everyone’s. Gina is going through the same struggles that every Christian goes through on their walk with the Lord. This is what I love about Wood! She is able to make books that every single young woman can connect with because we go through the same things!
I got this book for free in exchange for subscribing to Nancy E Wood blog.
