Rating: 5 out of 5.

Sooner or later, kids have big questions about God, life, faith and the Bible, especially when their friends start asking them about what they believe. A common one is: How do we know Christianity is really true?

Big questions deserve good answers. This pithy, fun, and fast-paced book looks at what the Bible says to help 9-13s think through this big question for themselves. It explains why we can trust the Gospels as real historical documents and walks through the evidence for Jesus’ resurrection. Lively stories and illustrations make this book easy for this age group to engage with.

In this book, Morphew is able to take the first and important question about Christianity, and break it down into a concept that I feel like any kid understands. He explained how we as Christians know that Christianity is not just some storybook. He did not just stop there but continued on to write an additional two books about hard questions that kids and often adults struggle to answer.

When I requested to review this book I did not truly understand how much I would learn from this book. I wanted to review the Big Question Series simply to see how Morphew would address these hard topics. I have noticed that reviewing Child and Teen books is that normally are either too difficult to read or too boring. Morphew’s book was perfectly crafted in a way that I am sure even children under the age of 9 would understand. I learned a lot from reading this book.

As I read through the book, I was able to follow the author on a path to find out if Christianity is true. We started by going through manuscripts, and how they match up with other documents. It was amazing to travel on the path to discover why Christianity is true. In a very real way, I was reminded about all the ways Christianity is the one true religion. It was amazing to see a book geared for kids remind me, a teenager, all the ways Christianity is true. This book was amazing! Every time I opened this book, I felt myself learning new things.

Even though this book is only about 80 pages long Morphew did not skip a beat. His concise, powerful words were able to teach me in a way that I have never thought about Christianity. I loved the way you could clearly hear Morphew writing voice in this book. I do not remember where exactly I read this, but someone said this a Tim Keller book written for kids. I completely agree with that statement. This book is a live changing book! I honestly am so glad that I read this book. It was an amazing way to spend Sunday’s before church. It helped to ordinate my heart on the Lord before Church.

I received this book in exchange for my honesty review. I was not paid to write a positive review. My thoughts are my own.
